After years of training in Disney World, Atlanta Braves 2023 spring training will take place at CoolToday Park in North Port, located in southern Sarasota County.

Atlanta Braves 2023 Spring Training: If You Go….
The move certainly represents a change in spring training and Florida operations for the Braves. Instead of being a star attraction at the busy ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, the Braves will be the biggest attraction ever at North Port’s West Villages development. North Port is not exactly a densely developed area, and when the CoolToday Park complex opened in March 2019, retail close to the ballpark was still under construction.
So, to be honest, there’s not a lot to do yet within a close drive of the ballpark, even with the arrival of a Publix grocery store and other retail.
But North Port is an area on the rise, and there are plenty of new hotels and retail/dining under construction in the community. And there is the advantage of location: a Braves fan can take in plenty of spring training with five complexes within a decent drive: Port Charlotte’s Charlotte Sports Park (13 miles away), Sarasota’s Ed Smith Stadium (31 miles away), Bradenton’s LECOM Park (42 miles away), Fort Myers’ JetBlue Park (68 miles), and Fort Myers’ Hammond Stadium (70 miles away).
