Tampa Bay Rays 2016 spring schedule released

Tampa Bay Rays logoWe’ve posted the Tampa Bay Rays 2016 spring schedule, as the team has released details for another training season at Charlotte Sports Park.

The Rays are scheduled to play 15 spring training home games at Charlotte Sports Park, beginning on Wednesday, March 2 against the Washington Nationals. All home games begin at 1:05 p.m.

The first workout for pitchers and catchers is scheduled for Sunday, February 21. The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Friday, February 26.

The team has a rather complicated method of putting tickets on sale, with ducats offered to the public in three distinct phases. First: Single game tickets will be available as part of a special early access presale beginning at 10 a.m. on Cyber Monday, November 30, online only at raysbaseball.com/spring. Information about the presale may also be found at raysbaseball.com/spring. Single game tickets at regular pricing will go on sale on Friday, December 4 at 10 a.m., online only at raysbaseball.com/spring. Regular pricing for single game tickets will once again range in price from $10 to $29 for most games, and $15 to $32 for two premium games (March 12 and March 13). Tickets will be available for purchase at the Charlotte Sports Park box office beginning on Saturday, January 9.
