The Boston Red Sox 2014 spring schedule begins with two college exhibition games on Thursday, February 27 — a 1:05 p.m. single admission doubleheader starting with a game against the Northeastern University Huskies, followed by a game with the Boston College Eagles.

The Red Sox will launch the 2014 Grapefruit League schedule at home on Friday, February 28 at 1:05 p.m. against their Mayor’s Cup rival, the Minnesota Twins. The Twins host Boston at Hammond Stadium the following night, the second of six contests between the crosstown foes.

On Monday, March 17, at 1:05 p.m., the St. Louis Cardinals will visit JetBlue Park for a St. Patrick’s Day rematch of the 2013 World Series participants. The Red Sox will also play a game against the Cardinals in Jupiter, FL, on March 5.

The Red Sox will visit the AL East rival New York Yankees on Tuesday, March 18 in Tampa, and will host the club at JetBlue Park on Thursday, March 20 at 7:05 p.m., one of five night games on the home schedule. Other division matchups include five contests against Baltimore, four versus Tampa, and one against Toronto.

The Red Sox will once again hold an Open House at JetBlue Park on Saturday, February 22. The event is scheduled to include a celebration of the 2013 World Series Championship, give fans an opportunity to walk freely around JetBlue Park, and enjoy concessions and entertainment on Fenway South Drive — a street festival reminiscent of Yawkey Way in Boston. The Open House is open to the public free of charge.

The annual spring sraining equipment truck departure will take place on Saturday, February 8 from Fenway Park. Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report on Saturday, February 15, and will hold their first workout on Monday, February 17. Position players report on February 18 with the first full squad workout set for Thursday, February 20. All workouts are open to the public free of charge.
