Final Weekend of Spring Training is Here

2018 spring trainingWe’re down to the wire for spring training 2018, as the final weekend of games is here, and MLB teams are preparing to break camp beginning tomorrow.

Many games this weekend are sold out, including home games for Atlanta, Boston, both Chicago teams, the Yankees and Tampa Bay. (In these cases, ballparkdigesttickets.com is your friend.) So plan ahead and buy your tickets before hitting the ballpark: you won’t find anything at the gate.

Also, there are plenty of other games worth noting, both in Florida/Arizona and outside the area:

  • The Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers will play their traditional Freeway Series, with a game at Angel Stadium on March 25 and Dodger Stadium games on March 26 and March 27.
  • The San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s will play their traditional Bay Area series, with a game at the Oakland Coliseum in March 25 and AT&T Park on March 26 and March 27.
  • The Chicago Cubs are visiting JetBlue Park and the Boston Red Sox on March 26 and March 27. These games are long sold out; the aftermarket is your friend.
  • The New York Yankees will take on the Atlanta Braves twice in three days. On March 25, the Yankees will end Grapefruit League play at Champion Stadium against the home Braves. This originally was to be the last hurrah of the Braves at Disney World, but delays with construction of a new camp in Sarasota County led the team to commit to a 2020 move. The game is basically sold out; here’s a look at the ticket situation. On March 26, the Yankees will be at SunTrust Park to take on the Braves in an exhibition game, the second time in two years the Yankees are visiting Atlanta in the preseason. Check out the ticket situation here.
