Kansas City Royals 2023 Spring Training Schedule

This is a tentative Kansas City Royals 2023 spring training schedule, subject to changes and additions. Still to come: broadcast schedules and reporting dates.

The Royals train at Surprise Recreation Campus with the Texas Rangers and play games at Surprise Stadium. Once on the far edge of spring training with relatively little to recommend the location, the area around the ballpark is now built up with plenty of restaurants, bars and other diversions. You can now make more than just a day trip into Surprise: you can easily make it the base of your spring training travels, as there are plenty of local offerings.

Built for both the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals, Surprise Stadium features two 37,000-square-foot clubhouses with locker rooms, team kitchens, weight and training facilities and administrative offices. In addition, each team has a practice infield and six full practice fields.

With the full Phoenix sun out for most games, you’ll want to carefully choose where you sit. The Royals have improved as a team and are drawing decent crowds for spring-training games, so a little planning is in order. But it will be worth the while, as Surprise Stadium is one of the most pleasant venues in the Cactus League.
