The Yankees train at Steinbrenner Field and the adjoining training fields in Tampa, Florida. If you’re a Yankees fan, Steinbrenner Field is nirvana, a shrine to Yankeedom. There are plenty of nice New York touches outside the ballpark. Former Yankees greats are immortalized in a walking area outside the front gates: 16 Yankees have had their numbers retired, and these former greats are honored with plaques. Like the Mets, the Yankees commemorate 9/11 with steel originally part of the World Trade Center. And, to top things off, a lifesize bronze statue of George Steinbrenner was installed before Spring Training 2011.

New York Yankees 2026 Spring Training is a unique experience, but you should have more on your agenda than just the ballpark. Tampa has a slew of attractions designed for families, including a world-class aquarium and Busch Gardens, a theme part built around a zoo, various rides, and a water park.

In addition to the general Tampa activities, there are some other noteworthy attractions and restaurants within a short distance of the ballpark that will give you a true flavor of Tampa. Dale Mabry Highway is an interesting stretch of road: between a retail cluster at I-275 and the ballpark is a vast wasteland of strip clubs, gas stations, and fast-foot joints.
