The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they will salute the organization’s 13 years of Spring Training in Southern Arizona as part of “Tucson Fan Appreciation Day” when the Milwaukee Brewers visit for a 1:05 p.m. game on March 28 at Tucson Electric Park.
All fans in attendance on March 28 will receive a pennant honoring the D-backs’ Spring Training camp in Tucson. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the game, including autographed D-backs jerseys. D-backs players and coaches will salute the crowd after the game and children will be allowed to run the bases as well. The club’s mascot, D. Baxter, will also be in attendance to interact with the fans.
The D-backs will conclude their 2010 Cactus League exhibition schedule in Tucson when they host the Texas Rangers on March 30. The D-backs and Colorado Rockies will move to their new 140-acre multipurpose facility on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land in 2011.
The D-backs will also announce a unique ticket discount for Pima County residents to attend Cactus League games at their new Spring Training facility in the Valley at a later date.
