Pirates 2011 schedule released

The Pittsburgh Pirates have released a 2011 spring-training schedule. It’s heavy on games against Gulf Coast teams, with no games against Detroit, Atlanta or any team from the Treasure Coast.

You can view the full schedule here.

If you’re a Twins, Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Phillies or Rays fan, you’ll enjoy the schedule: virtually all of the Pirates’ games take place against these Gulf Coast neighbors. Throw in a few games against the Blue Jays and the Astros, and you have the Pirates schedule down. The two Astros games comprise the farthest opponents for the Pirates.
