We have a new name for the spring home of the Philadelphia Phillies, as Bright House Field is now Spectrum Field after a corporate merger created some new branding from Charter.
Bright House Networks was acquired by Charter Communications in 2016, and Bright House’s services were rebranded as Spectrum. Therefore, it seemed inevitable that Charter would place the Spectrum brand on the ballpark.
The Spectrum brand has been added to more than one sports facility over the last several months. Last August, Charter’s purchase of Time Warner Cable led to a change in identity for the home of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, as Time Warner Cable Arena became the Spectrum Center.
