We’ve seen some Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium upgrades, spring home of the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins, in the past few years, and more are planned for spring training in 2018.
In the past few years we’ve seen the installation of a new right-field group area and additional shade canopies to the ballpark. For 2018, we’ll also see some new concessions, including a tiki-themed concession stand in the left-field corner, next to the bullpen.
The 15-feet-by-30-foot chickee hut will be sponsored by local restaurant Guanabana, with food prepped there and bought to the ballpark. It’s being positioned as a social space, with shaded tables set up adjacent to the hut.
The new concessions are is one of several Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium upgrades planned for 2018, but most are of a low-impact variety, such as new turf.
