Pittsburgh Pirates 2018 Spring Schedule Posted

Pittsburgh PiratesWe’ve posted the Pittsburgh Pirates 2018 spring schedule, as the team prepares for another Grapefruit League training camp at Pirate City and LECOM Park in Bradenton.

The Pirates will be celebrating their 50th season of play in Bradenton, having been associated with their southern home every year since 1969.

The Pirates are scheduled to host the New York Yankees at 1:05 p.m. in the home opener at LECOM Park on Saturday, February 24.

A total of four of Pittsburgh’s final six spring training games are scheduled to be played in Bradenton, which will include a night game on Thursday, March 22 against the Toronto Blue Jays (6:05 p.m. start).

As usual, the Pirates have plenty of pricing tiers and different deadlines for when tickets go on sale. Here they are.

Season Tickets
Season tickets go on sale Tuesday, November 28, with the following pricing: Infield Box (Box 1-14), $421; Infield Reserve, $421; Baseline Box (Box 15-22), $373; Grandstand, $229; Left Field Bleachers, $229.

Weekend Package
A six-game Weekend Package will also go on sale Tuesday, November 28. The package includes a ticket for the same seat to all six weekend games. The opponents in this package include the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. The pricing: $174; Infield Reserve, $174; Baseline Box (Box 15-22), $150; Grandstand, $108; Left Field Bleachers, $108.

Group Tickets
New group ticket reservations can be made starting Tuesday, November 28 and returning group ticket accounts from 2017 are able to purchase in advance, beginning on Tuesday, November 14. Groups of 15 or more are able to reserve tickets in preferred seating areas before they go on sale to individual buyers for the best opportunity to secure seats together. Other group benefits include personalized service from a team representative, in-game welcome announcement over the PA system, and the ability to earn special in-park experiences.

“Early Bird” Pre-Sale
The Pirates will once again open single-game ticket sales early with an online-only “Early Bird” pre-sale from January 18-19. For an additional $5, you can order single-game tickets. Prior to the “Early Bird” pre-sale, a separate pre-sale will take place for Pittsburgh season ticket holders from January 16 and 17 at regular individual game prices.

Single-Game Purchases
Individual game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, January 20, at 10 a.m. at the LECOM Park Box Office, online at pirates.com/springtraining, or by calling (877/893-2827. Individual game tickets will have advanced sale pricing and day of game pricing: Infield Box (Box 1-14), $29; Infield Reserve, $29; Baseline Box (Box 15-22), $25; Grandstand, $18; Left Field Bleachers, $18; Standing Room $16 (available only for sold-out games). Add $3 for tickets bought day of the game.
