We have posted very tentative 2026 spring training schedules for the Grapefruit League (Florida) and Cactus League (Arizona), subject to change and additions.
Still to come: game times, broadcast schedules, reporting dates, ticket sale debuts and additional exhibitions, particularly on March 23-24. (Yes, we can dream again about a two-game Blue Jays exhibition series in Montreal. Maybe after the latest roof repairs are done.)

As noted, these are very tentative 2026 spring-training schedules, You now have enough information to begin your planning, but there’s still a slew of details to be released. Despite MLB releasing all the schedules at once, spring training is still a very decentralized affair, with teams setting their own reporting dates, ticket policies, broadcast schedules and exhibition matches. We have posted the league schedules, and we’ll be moving on to team schedules today and beyond, trying to fill in as many of these gaps as possible. Watch for newsletters with updates on schedule information every few days. If you’ve purchased an electronic copy of our spring-training guides, watch for those eBooks to be updated as well. We will post them quickly, but we will take the time to verify as well when we run across a conflict or error (so far we’ve identified four, with one immediately corrected by MLB).
Still, there’s an abundance of riches to peruse in these schedules. The Spring Breakout games are returning, and several teams in the World Baseball Classic will be playing warmup games against MLB teams as well. Florida and Arizona will indeed provide lots of access to the best players in the world.
To help you in your planning, we’re extending free Kindle downloads of The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2026 when you buy a paperback copy, at least through the release of game times. We update the eBook as spring-training information is released, including schedules. Naturally we will be updating the Spring Training Online site with schedule information when released–and notifying you via this newsletter–but having an updated eBook will ensure you have schedule information at hand at all times. You don’t need a special code to receive the free Kindle download; just buy the paperback edition and you’ll automatically receive emailed download instructions. When your book is updated, you’ll receive an email notification about a new version available for download. This offer will be good until game times are released. This offer applies only to purchases from the August Publications website; it will not apply to paperback purchases from Amazon or other online retailers. More information on the books here.
