Yes, We Are Still Seeing 2019 Schedule Changes

Houston Astros spring trainingWith the new year, we’re inching closer to the beginning of spring training. One thing to watch: we are still seeing 2019 schedule changes at this late date.

To wit: the St. Louis Cardinals/Houston Astros March 15 game originally scheduled for 1:05 p.m. has been changed to a 6:05 p.m. start. If you’re a Cards or Astros fan, this especially sucks. The two teams were set to play two split-squad games that day: a 1:05 p.m. game at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches and a 6:05 p.m. evening game at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. Now both games are set for 6:05 p.m. Which, if you’re a fan looking to conveniently see your favorite team twice in a day in Palm Beach County, is now a ruined experience.

The larger lesson: we are still seeing changes to what are still considered tentative schedules. We’ll be taking some time over the weekend to make sure our information is up to date (the Astros were kind enough to announce the time change on social media; not every change is so public).
