First 2026 spring training games posted–kinda

San Francisco Giants

We’ve posted the first 2026 spring training games on the schedule: the San Francisco Giants are hosting the Mexican League’s Sultanes de Monterrey before the start of the regular season.

Cactus League action and 2026 spring training officially ends March 21-22, with some teams staying in Arizona for one or two more games, while others hit the road for exhibitions against MLB opponents and MiLB affiliates. The Giants used to play home-and-away games with the Oakland Athletics, but with the Athletics’ temporary move to Sacramento before a Las Vegas shift, that series ended in 2025. (Other traditional end-of-spring exhibitions continue: the Dodgers and Angels play a Freeway Series, while the Arizona Diamondbacks schedule a pair of games at Chase Field.)

This year sees the Giants hosting Sultanes de Monterrey at Oracle Park on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24. While the Sultans may not necessarily be a big draw before the start of the regular season, the Giants are treating this as an event, unveiling a new Gigantes uniform during the series and casting the games as a Latino promotion. The two games kick off a big week for the Giants: San Francisco is opening the 2026 regular season on Wednesday, March 25–traditionally an off day across MLB before the Thursday season opener–hosting the New York Yankees in a nationally televised match from Oracle Park.

Tickets are on sale now; check out our Giants schedule page for more information.
