The event has been scaled back from the multiple planned 2020 games. And while traditionally the Chicago Cubs have been part of this weekend, the focus now shifts to the A’s, parent team of the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators.

The games are scheduled for March 12-13.

“We are excited to welcome back Big League Weekend to Las Vegas Ballpark after a year’s absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Aviators President/COO Don Logan said in a press release. “We welcome our major league affiliate, the Oakland Athletics, who will face Cleveland for a two-game series. Las Vegas Ballpark will once again provide an outstanding atmosphere and environment for Major League Baseball. Fans, both locals and tourists that visit during this event, will have a memorable time.”

No game times yet, though it’s a virtual lock that the Sunday, March 13 game will be a day game. The only issue is whether the Saturday, March 12 game is a day or night game. Tickets are available now, but not from the Athletics or Guardians websites; call 702/943-7200. Packages begin at $20.
