Kansas City Royals Spring Broadcast Schedule Posted

Kansas City RoyalsWe’ve posted the Kansas City Royals spring broadcast schedule, with television games on FOX Sports Kansas City and radio broadcasts on 610 Sports Radio and royals.com.

FOX Sports Kansas City will broadcast 10 Royals spring-training games. Ryan Lefebvre, now in his ninth season as the lead play-by-play voice on FSKC, will team with fellow broadcasters Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler for the exhibition telecasts. The March 16 telecast against San Diego in Peoria, AZ, and the April 1 game against the Rangers in Arlington, TX, will be co-produced with the FOX affiliates of the host teams.

Viewership for Royals telecasts on FOX Sports Kansas City continued to pace Major League Baseball in 2016, recording a 10.9 household rating, tops in the Majors for the second straight year.

The radio schedule has not been finalized, but the team and 610 Sports Radio announced the first 18 games on the docket. All spring-training contests will be webcast on royals.com, including the games not on 610 Sports Radio. A minimum of two more broadcasts will be added once the NCAA Tournament schedule is released due to 610’s commitment to University of Kansas basketball.

For the 49th consecutive year, Royals Hall of Famer and 2007 Ford Frick Award winner Denny Matthews will call spring-training play-by-play action and he’ll be joined by Lefebvre, Steve Physioc and Steve Stewart. For the ninth straight year, the exhibition webcasts will be anchored by Stewart.
