We have some schedule news to pass along: the Boston Red Sox game times for spring training 2019 are out, as well as the dates for Truck Day and the team’s annual open house. Plus: a ticket update!
We’ve updated the schedule — you can view the Boston Red Sox spring-training schedule here — as well as the schedules for the Red Sox opponents and the master Grapefruit League schedule.. Right now there are still two schedules outstanding: neither the Orioles nor the Cubs have posted game times. When these schedules are updated, we’ll be updating the eBook editions of The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2019.
The Red Sox also announced three more important dates. First, Truck Day is set for Feb. 3. That’s the day spring-training equipment is trucked from Massachusetts to Lee County. Second, the first spring workout for the Red Sox is set for Feb. 13. And, as previously announced, tickets go on sale Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. Eastern. Expect a mad rush for ducats, especially for games at the end of March. It’s always a bittersweet moment for Red Sox fans when spring-training tickets go on sale: season-ticket holders control most of the decent seats at JetBlue Park.
Finally, one more date to note: the annual JetBlue Park open house is set for Saturday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pitchers and catchers will have reported by then, but it’s before the official reporting day for position players.
With the Red Sox putting tickets on sale, this is a good time to remind everyone on when MLB teams are planning to put spring-training tickets on sale. Here’s a current list,
