The Rangers are scheduled to play 33 spring training games in 2016, including 29 Cactus League contests. Texas’ 29-game Arizona schedule features 16 contests at Surprise Stadium. The Rangers will be the home team for 14 of those games and will be the visiting club for two contests against the Royals, who share the Surprise complex with Texas. Those two teams will play three times overall in Surprise in 2015, opening the spring schedule with consecutive Royals home games: Wednesday, March 2, which is the Surprise Sundancers Charity Game and Thursday, March 3. Texas will be the home team for the final spring meeting between the clubs on Wednesday, March 30.
The Rangers 2016 spring schedule also includes two games with the World Champion Kansas City Royals in the fourth annual H-E-B Big League Weekend series at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Friday, March 18 (7:05 p.m. CT) and Saturday, March 19 (2:05 p.m. CT).
Individual spring training game tickets go on sale via an online pre-sale on Saturday, December 12 through tickets.com. Tickets will be available via phone and walk-up sales at the Surprise Stadium box office beginning Jan. 9.
