One more schedule for the day: the Pittsburgh Pirates 2014 spring schedule has been posted.
You can view the full schedule here.
The 29-game Florida schedule consists of 15 home games in addition to an intrasquad “Black and Gold” game at McKechnie Field on Tuesday, February 25.
The Pirates are scheduled to open their 2014 Grapefruit League season at home against the New York Yankees Wednesday, February 26 at 1:05 p.m. Before returning to Pittsburgh for the regular season, the Pirates will once again play two exhibition games against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Those two games are scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, March 29 at 1:05 p.m.
With the additions of a new boardwalk in 2013, along with the Left Field Party Deck, the Boardwalk Barbeque Area for group picnics, the Kona Bar built by NDC Construction in center field and the Left Field Bleachers, the Pirates established a club record by drawing 93,433 fans and averaging 6,229 to their 15 games at McKechnie Field last spring. Even with the expanded capacity, the Pirates had three sellouts last spring and anticipate more sellouts in 2014.
