We’ve posted the Kansas City Royals 2015 spring training schedule, as the team comes off a World Series appearance for a 13th year at Surprise Stadium.
You can view the schedule here.
The traditional Cactus League opener will be against the Texas Rangers, the Royals’ co-tenants since the complex opened in 2003, on Wednesday, March 4. The two teams also will meet the next day at Surprise and again on March 30. As the Rangers will be the home team in two of those games, the Royals will have a total of 16 games at Surprise, with 14 “home” matches.
There are four night games scheduled in Arizona, two in Surprise against Milwaukee on March 18 and against the Chicago White Sox on March 25.
The Royals will wrap up their spring schedule at Houston with an April 3 night game and an April 4 afternoon game against the Astros. Then they’ll head to Kansas City for the April 6 regular-season opener against the White Sox.
The official spring training reporting dates are Feb. 19 for pitchers and catchers and Feb. 24 for the rest of the squad, with workouts beginning the following day.
Single-game tickets go on sale online Monday, Dec. 15, and onsale at the Surprise Stadium ticket office on Saturday, Jan. 3.
